Shapely Topiary is ‘the horticultural practice of training perennial plants by clipping the foliage and twigs of trees, shrubs and subshrubs to develop and maintain clearly defined shapes.’ I was recently walking around Ascot Vale in Melbourne; my heart was already happy as I was with our two daughters and our new granddaughter, when we came across this amazing topiary. There were two main trees, each of them covered in perfectly coiffed spheres. Somebody (or bodies) have spent a great deal of time and care crafting these visual delights.
To be wonderfully shaped is what God desires for us too; he has in his mind the way he wants our lives and spirits to be developed. How harmonious our community would be if we all allowed him to shape us.
Lord, you are amazing, you have a plan for each of us. Help us to understand how and where you want us to be. Amen
Jacqui
