There was a time – not so long ago when the term ‘flattening the curve’ meant trying to shed a few kilos. How about all the other words that we are now using daily, ‘self-isolation’, ‘social distancing’. And on it goes.
The other night I was watching a murder mystery on television and there was a crowd scene. I looked at it and thought I remember when we could go out whenever and wherever we wanted, regardless of how many others were out and about. There are so many movies that used to be regarded as futuristic that now replicate just what we are living through. Things have really changed and life as we used to live it is on-hold for who knows how long.
But there is one thing that we can rely on to be the same today as it was yesterday and will be tomorrow and always. That is of course Gods love. Even when we can’t understand his plan, we have to keep believing that there is one and he is in control of it.
Lord, we thank you for your faithfulness. Please help us to remain faithful to you and remember your promise to never desert us.
