It took me ages to see what was not quite right in this snap of a Melbourne suburban garden, but once I did, it was impossible to ‘unsee’ it. The sender urged me to ‘seek and you shall find’ and eventually I did find it. Now when I look at the photo it is the first thing I see. (Zoom in a bit if you can’t spot it.)
In just the same way, once you find God you can’t really ‘unfind’ him. The connection between him and you may become weak, frayed or even lost, but within your heart, you know he is there. When our link with God needs strengthening there are lots of strategies we can use to build it up – go to church, listen to Christian music, read your Bible, spend time with Christian friends or your pastor. It doesn’t matter how you get it strong again, what matters is that you do.
Lord, thank you for making yourself available to us. When we are in darkness please help us to find our way into the light to be with you again. Amen.
