When we were in San Francisco earlier this year we went on a tour of the city which included a stop at the visitors centre near the Golden Gate Bridge. I popped into the gift shop and saw a souvenir I really liked but decided against buying it there; after all I was bound to get it at a better price, and maybe even a better range elsewhere. We had three more days in San Francisco and as part of our sightseeing searched high and low for that same souvenir – no luck. If I really wanted to buy it, we would have to go back to the original sighting, which is exactly what we did.
Some things are unique, and no amount of searching will find them elsewhere. Our God is like that – he is unparalleled, there is no other like him in power, majesty or grace. He is worth grabbing.
Lord there are no others that come close to you. Thank you for being in our lives and we pray that we may be worthy of you.
Oh, you want to know what the souvenir is? A sticky tape dispenser in the shape of the bridge.
