I am not usually fussy about toothpaste and generally buy something within my preferred brands that is on special. The other day I bought a tube of super whitening paste but was rather shocked when instead of dazzling white paste on my brush it was very dark; off-putting to say the least. A closer look at the tube, which admittedly had a fair amount of black colour on it, described the paste as charcoal, so no surprise really that it was so dark. I had obviously grabbed it without spending too long reading its credentials.
Taking the time to select things helps lessen the chances of getting something that does not measure up to what we are expecting. How about with God, when he calls our name, do we need to proceed with caution before letting him in? You know the answer, right – there is no need for caution, God is actually amazingly easy to read. He is upfront and what you see is what you get. Full speed ahead.
Lord you are honest and trustworthy. Thank you that you have called us to be part of your family, to live with you and for you Amen
