Kintsugi – the ancient Japanese art that is used to mend broken and chipped ceramics. To mend the fractured goods, the repairer mixes gold dust with the resin and applies it to each of the pieces.
When the individual pieces are pushed back together to their original position, the mix of gold and glue oozes out and the dividing line or lines becomes a beautiful feature. Something that had been rendered useless now beautifully restored.
The concept of restoring broken things is something we Christians are very familiar with. Our God takes us as broken people and makes us whole and beautiful; he is in fact the master repairer.
Heavenly Father it is through the blood of Jesus that we may be whole again. We thank for Lord for this amazing gift.
