A note from Cheryl, our Community Development Co-ordinator
It seems a while since I have posted anything in enews so here is a brief update on some things that have been happening.
Once again we have been successful in obtaining Floriade bulbs for our Garden out the front. The bulbs were planted last week by the Community Garden team. We moved our usual Garden day from Tuesday (which was a very blustery icy day) to Wednesday (which was sunny and less windy). The annuals arrive on the 30 June so these will need to be planted and I will put a call out for help closer to the time. Once again we look forward to enjoying a wonderful display.
Our Food Pantry is accessed each week by two or three families and each week bread deliveries are also made to community members.
We have a small group of people come along to Craft & Cuppa every 2nd Wednesday and most stay for the Bible Study which is led by Pastor Paul. Last week the Community Garden folk joined the Craft group for morning tea and it was lovely seeing everyone interact.
Weekly Worship Services continue to be held at LDK with an average of 9 people attending. Folk from LDK also help lead the Services with prayer, bible reading and sharing a message.
I would like to thank those who support me in my role through encouragement and prayer.
