A note from Cheryl, our Community Development Coordinator
Wow it is hard to believe but here we are at the end of the year and as I reflect over the past 12 months what a busy year we have had.
We have held many one off as well as weekly/monthly events and activities. It has been wonderful to see the relationships being formed between the community folk and our members. A huge thank you to all our members for the support throughout 2022 – through prayer, financial, physical and encouragement.
Our final community activity has been the 25 Christmas Food Hampers, which have been packed, delivered and well received. There is still money in the kitty and requests keep coming in, so more hampers will be put together and distributed before Christmas. A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed towards this outreach ministry.
I would like to acknowledge and thank Ron Weber, who after many many years of faithful service to the Bread Night and Prayer Chain is stepping aside for other commitments. What this means for Bread Night is that we urgently need more helpers to pick up bread (probably about once every 5 weeks). Please talk to Cheryl if you can assist.
LDK keeps going strong with the weekly Worship Services and we now have a team of 7 who help out. Thank you to Jim who has faithfully conducted the fortnightly Sunday Bible Study at LDK.
Wishing everyone a very blessed Christmas.
You shall generously give to him, and your heart shall not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in all your undertakings. Deuteronomy 15:10
