A note from Cheryl (Community Development Coordinator)
Wow, what a busy few weeks we have had! Southfest Community day, Thank you breakfast (which was amazing), Food Hampers, Grants approved and now planning for the Community Christmas lunch plus all the usual activities we run. None of this is possible without the Grace and all our wonderful members and community folk who support and help out. It will be good to have a ‘quiet’ January for everyone to be recharged and rest in the Lord.
As you know we received a Community Garden Grant approval for a new shed and slab. At this stage the slab is booked in for Monday at 7am and then some stage later the shed will go up.
This week we will be distributing the food hampers. Some will go to families of Lanyon High, Caroline Chisholm school and individual families. If you know of anyone who would like a hamper please let me know. A huge thank you to everyone for their donations of either money or goods and to those who assisted with the packing. This is a wonderful way we can support our local community neighbours.
I will be taking leave between Christmas and New Year and back on deck in January.
I would like to wish everyone a very blessed Christmas.
Kind regards,
Cheryl
