Lutherans believe that worship is not so much about what we do, but about what God does for us. We simply respond in prayer and praise to the God who comes down to our level.
To help contain the spread of COVID-19 we have suspended gathering for worship and other communal activities. See our Church at Home page – to equip you to be church and stay connected, Canberra’s Lutheran churches are sharing their resources with you and each other.
Worship is the heartbeat of our congregation. In our worship service we believe that God equips us to be his disciples. Worship is all about God and his action towards us and most importantly his gift of the Holy Spirit.
There are many opportunities for people to be involved in the worship life of the congregation. If you are musical you can play in one of our bands, if you like baking you can help with morning tea, if you are into audiovisual there are opportunities in this area, or if you just want to come and experience our worship, you are most welcome.
In worship at our Sunday services, we invite you to experience God’s love and acceptance and be filled with holy joy. The morning service is a family-oriented celebration which includes children's ministry; the evening service is more informal and meditative, with a particular focus on an intimate connection with God.
If you are interested in joining a small group for relationship building and devotional or Bible studies then we have some great options – speak with Sharon Stephan.

Ministry to children
At Good Shepherd Community Church we believe that worship is for everyone, no matter the age. There is something for all ages in our morning worship service, including for children. After all, we are better together, and together we are a better church family.
