The ACT Government has spent $23m to have an emergency pop-up hospital built. They made the decision as an insurance policy against our existing ICU resources being insufficient in the event of rampant COVID-19 cases. They were being proactive, just as we are when we buy insurance policies. Generally, people have a few policies; we insure our cars, our homes and their contents, our health, and various other tangible things. It costs money and we spend it hoping to never have to make a claim. Having insurance gives us peace of mind that when the chips are down, we will not be left to flounder on our own.
Know how to get assurance without insurance – spiritual that is? Of course, we all do, it is simply by being in a relationship with God. He assures, and indeed promises that when we accept him into our lives, he will have our backs – we will be covered for all scenarios.
Lord we thank you for the promises that you make to us. You are faithful and loyal, and we know that we can trust the assurance that you have given that you will always be there for us. Amen
